| MISSION STATEMENT |
St. Anthony’s is a national parish that was established in 1901 to serve the spiritual needs of the Portuguese Community of Greater Lowell. Located in Lowell, we are presently a community of approximately 1500 families, mainly Portuguese and open to all. In spite of the lack of physical boundaries, we are joined together by our religious beliefs and ethnic background which makes us more of a family. As a cultural community and guided by the Holy Spirit, we strive to provide an atmosphere which not only respects but also preserves and promotes the richness in our religious customs and traditions. As a prayer community, Christian formation, community enrichment and spiritual development are primary values, along with a serious commitment and concern for the marginalized. |
